Running Oracle Databases on AWS - David Bayard

Many of you will remember our friend David Bayard from his days as an Enterprise Architect on Oracle's Pre-Sales team here in the Tampa Bay area. More recently, David has joined Amazon's team and has been helping folks run Oracle properly on that platform. This month, David will be joining us to discuss options for running Oracle Databases on AWS, including via the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and the Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS). We will discuss considerations for choosing the right AWS configuration and discuss how you can use your current metrics (such as AWR history data) to help guide you to the proper choice.

David Bayard joined Amazon Web Services in October 2018 and is currently a Solution Architect for the AWS Data and Analytics Specialized Sales team. Prior to joining AWS, David was a Distinguished Sales Consultant at Oracle Corporation where he worked for 26 years.
